Desired Internship

There are a few reasons why I want to do my internship at Arubiana Inn boutique hotel as assistant GM.

First, I would like to learn how to be a good assistant general manager. This job involves several departments of a hotel and you have many different tasks. How to keep an overview of this and make sure each department is happy is something I can learn during this internship.

In addition, I would like to learn to plan events and actually execute them. There is a lot involved in this and you have to take many things into account. How to do this the right way I hope to learn during my internship and I think Arubiana Inn boutique hotel is the right place for this. This because the events you have to organize are not extremely big and this is a good first step to learn this.

Furthermore, the hotel really appeals to me because it is small in size. It has a total of 18 rooms, a restaurant and a swimming pool. Because of this, the contact with the guests staying at the hotel will be personal because there are not that many guests staying at the hotel. Because you can have a lot of contact with the guests, you can make sure that their stay is the best it can be.

The location of the hotel also really appeals to me. Palm beach is a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Here you will find several restaurants, stores and bars. The center of Oranjestad is a 15-minute drive away and the airport is only 20 minutes away. So the hotel is close to the beach and the city.
